Before starting Pinchit, Aneel Ranadive functioned as a Product Manager for The Nielsen Company's mobile department. Earlier, Aneel Ranadive launched BoredAt, Inc., an anonymous social network for educational institutions and corporations. With $1.25 million in capital from angel investors and Redpoint Ventures, Ranadive developed a real-time communications system that let students and employers register their opinions on various topics.
The holder of a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Columbia University, Aneel Ranadive commenced his career at Banc of Americas Securities LLC in New York City as an Investment Banking Analyst. While spending a year at the financial institution, Ranadive designed operational models and performed industry competitive analysis for entities in the media, telecommunications, and technology fields. .
