Aneel Ranadive

For nearly two years, Aneel Ranadive has served as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Pinchit: The Tastemaker Network. Located at Pinchit.com, this site allows urban professionals to discover the best places to eat, drink, exercise, and enjoy themselves in New York; Washington, D.C.; and San Francisco. Through Ranadive's company, people can write about their experiences frequenting establishments in those cities and become “Tastemakers” who enlighten others about local happenings and hot spots. Visiting this page enables residents and tourists to learn the eateries with the best hamburgers; the best restaurants to impress one's boss; and the best cafes to people watch. 

Before starting Pinchit, Aneel Ranadive functioned as a Product Manager for The Nielsen Company's mobile department. In this position, he created mobile phone apps for television shows including Grey's Anatomy and My Generation. For a period, Ranadive also acted as Director of Business Development for GlanceGuide in the San Francisco Bay Area. Here, he assisted companies such as Time Warner, Inc., and Facebook in scaling their customer bases through video analytics, online content, and ad assets. 

Earlier, Aneel Ranadive launched BoredAt, Inc., an anonymous social network for educational institutions and corporations. With $1.25 million in capital from angel investors and Redpoint Ventures, Ranadive developed a real-time communications system that let students and employers register their opinions on various topics.

The holder of a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Columbia University, Aneel Ranadive commenced his career at Banc of Americas Securities LLC in New York City as an Investment Banking Analyst. While spending a year at the financial institution, Ranadive designed operational models and performed industry competitive analysis for entities in the media, telecommunications, and technology fields.  .
